Accessibility

This site is built to be usable with a keyboard, a screen reader, or at a text size much larger than the default. Where we fall short of that, we would like to know.

What we aim for

We build to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines, version 2.2, at level AA. That is a published standard rather than a promise, which means it can be checked — including by you.

What that means in practice

  • Every form control has a label that is read out with it, and grouped questions sit inside a labelled group.
  • Every interactive target is large enough to hit reliably on a phone, and the keyboard focus outline is visible rather than removed.
  • Text and background colours are tested for contrast in both the light and dark appearance, and the site follows whichever your device is set to.
  • Every page has a skip link, a single main heading, and a main landmark, so a screen reader can jump past the navigation.
  • Nothing important is conveyed by colour alone, and the one moving element on the site stops for anyone whose system asks for reduced motion.
  • Text can be enlarged substantially without the layout breaking or content being cut off.

Where we know we are not there yet

Parts of this site depend on services run by other companies — the online booking calendar and the online pharmacy are the two you are most likely to meet. We do not control their code, and we cannot make the same promises about them that we make about our own pages. If one of them stops you doing something, call us and we will do it with you over the phone. That is not a workaround we are happy with, but it is honest, and the phone is answered in the building.

TK Run the Phase 6 accessibility audit against the finished build and list any known outstanding issues here by name. A statement that claims a clean bill of health it has not earned is worse than one that names its gaps.

Telling us about a problem

Call 480-585-3512 and say you are having trouble with the website. You will reach someone in the building, not a queue. Tell us what page you were on and what you were trying to do, and we will fix it or find another way to get it done for you.

Getting care, either way

Nothing on this site is the only route to anything. Every appointment that can be booked online can be booked by phone, every form can be filled in with us at the front desk, and every question this site answers is one you can ask a person instead.
