For referring veterinarians
This page is for colleagues sending us a case. Your client stays your client: we see them for the procedure or the study, send you the report, and send them back. If you would rather talk it through before referring anything, call and ask for the doctor on duty.
What we take
Where we can be useful
The service pages below are written for owners rather than for you, but they set out the equipment, the protocols and who does the work.
Who would be doing the work is on the veterinarians page, including which doctor is at this hospital on which days.
How a referral runs
What happens after you send it
You send the case
The form below, or a phone call if it is time-sensitive. Bloodwork, radiographs and your notes are more useful than a summary of them.
We contact the client
We call them to schedule. If they would rather book it themselves they can do that at the online booking page.
The study or procedure
Your client is told, plainly, that this is a referral for one thing and that their regular veterinarian is you.
The report comes back to you
Findings, images and a recommendation, sent to the hospital email on the form — not left for the client to relay.
Cardiology
Echocardiogram referral
Complete this and we will contact your client to schedule. Send the pertinent history with it — a murmur grade, a radiograph, a rhythm strip, the drugs already on board.
Before you send a young patient
We do not perform echocardiograms on patients under two years of age. Those are congenital cases until proven otherwise, and they are better evaluated by a cardiologist directly — send them straight there rather than through us.

Who reads the study
For your client
If they are not registered with us, the new client form takes about two minutes and opens the record before they arrive.
TK Two things to confirm before launch. First, whether a referral inbox exists that is separate from the front-desk address — a referral is not client intake and should not land in the same queue. Second, the sex options above: the current form captures sex as a plain male/female radio, which is not enough for a cardiac workup, so this asks for neuter status as well. Confirm that is wanted before it ships.
